چکیده
In the present study, we have explored potential of newly isolated Aspergillus terreus BD strain, which can accumulate itaconic acid (IA) at higher temperature. The shake flask cultivation thermotolerant strain with medium optimized using Box-Behnken Design 45 °C resulted in IA accumulation 28.9 g/L yield 0.27 g/g. enzymatic saccharification synthetic food waste (SFW) consisting potatoes, rice & noodles were Taguchi method orthogonal array to maximize release fermentable sugar. maximum glucose 0.60 g/g was achieved 10% biomass loading, 5% enzyme concentration, pH 5.5 and temperature 60 0C. sugars obtained from SFW integrated production titer hydrolysate during bioreactor 41.1 conversion while pure 44.7 0.30 g/g, respectively.

Relationship between morphology and itaconic acid production by Aspergillus terreus.
The morphology of filamentous fungi closely correlates with the productivity in submerged culture. Using itaconic acid (IA) production by Aspergillus terreus as a research model, the quantitative relationship between the growth form of A. terreus and IA production was investigated. IA fermentation was scaled up from shake flasks to a 7 L stirred tank bioreactor based on the quantitative relatio...
متن کاملImproving itaconic acid production through genetic engineering of an industrial Aspergillus terreus strain
BACKGROUND Itaconic acid, which has been declared to be one of the most promising and flexible building blocks, is currently used as monomer or co-monomer in the polymer industry, and produced commercially by Aspergillus terreus. However, the production level of itaconic acid hasn't been improved in the past 40 years, and mutagenesis is still the main strategy to improve itaconate productivity....
متن کاملDirect production of itaconic acid from liquefied corn starch by genetically engineered Aspergillus terreus
BACKGROUND Itaconic acid is on the DOE (Department of Energy) top 12 list of biotechnologically produced building block chemicals and is produced commercially by Aspergillus terreus. However, the production cost of itaconic acid is too high to be economically competitive with the petrochemical-based products. Itaconic acid is generally produced from raw corn starch, including three steps: enzym...
متن کاملProduction of lovastatin and itaconic acid by Aspergillus terreus: a comparative perspective
Aspergillus terreus is a textbook example of an industrially relevant filamentous fungus. It is used for the biotechnological production of two valuable metabolites, namely itaconic acid and lovastatin. Itaconic acid serves as a precursor in polymer industry, whereas lovastatin found its place in the pharmaceutical market as a cholesterol-lowering statin drug and a precursor for semisynthetic s...
متن کاملDirectional Breeding of High Itaconic Acid Yielding Strain of Aspergillus terreus with a New Plate Technique
Itaconic acid is commercially produced by the cultivation of Aspergillus terreus using starch hydrolysate as carbon source. The degree of hydrolysis had a great influence on itaconic acid production which was suitable when corn starch was saccharified at 35 DE. The α-amylase was sufficient to drive the starch hydrolysis to the degree. The agar plate assay with LiCl treatment provided a rapid, s...
